What fun activities can we do in the snow? Cook? Make a sand castle? No, we can’t! But we can make a snowman, have a snow fight or build a snow fort. So let’s take a look at all the fun things we can do in the snow and practice the verb CAN along the way. Soon we will add the workbook and answer video!

❄ 𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐧𝐨𝐰 ☃ : This is the second video of the Snow Series. In this series, you will get familiar with the vocabulary and expressions related to what clothes to wear for cold weather and what fun activities to do in the snow. You will also learn how to give advice. You will practice by playing games and you will see what happened to me when my yard was covered in snow!

📋 In this second video of the series, we are introducing vocabulary about fun activites we can or can’t do in the snow. We then practice with rounds of questions and answers: Can we …? Yes, we can or No, we can’t. And we learn how to create new words using “snow” and a root word.

🧠 Children learn new vocabulary thanks to visual props. We draw from vocabulary they are already familiar with to help them retain new words. We also repetitively ask the same question applied to different situations in order to practice the correct use of the verb “can” and how to answer properly. Some of the questions aim at triggering laughter or disbelief in order to keep the kids engaged. Here are other concepts children will learn in this video:
